Maintenance & Care Recommendations
The list below features some, but not all, of the possible care and maintenance solutions. Proper care for a structure should be a reflection of the surrounding environment. If there are more trees near your structure, perhaps focus more on keeping the top of your structure clear from fallen debris. Whereas structures near freshly cut grass and manicured foliage may result in cleaning your structure more often to prevent long-lasting stains! Whatever level on maintenance your structure requires, we are open to help find you the right solution!
1. Keep Gutters Clear
Just as you would clear the gutters on the side of your home! Falling debris can get trapped within gutters and between louvers which can cause a disruption to the flow of water attempting to dispel from the structure, and stop your structure from closing properly. Check your gutters regularly and clear any blockages that may occur.
2. Clean Structure (Posts, etc.)
Rinse structure with a low pressure hose or spray bottle. Use a solution of dish soap & water or SimpleGreen and apply light pressure with a microfiber rag. Wipe clean with a new, dry, micro fiber rag.
3. Adjust to Weather / Snow Loads
Position louvers “open” during heavy rain or snow. This will prevent any build up on weight that could cause damage to the structure.
4. Winterize Space
Consider winterizing your structure with an “outdoor furniture wrapping” company. This provides your best chance of preserving your structure and it’s components over the winter season.
